The International Affairs Office from the University of Brasilia hereby declares, for the proper intents and in addition to academic transcript of records the following:

1. The evaluation of academic performance at the University of Brasilia is made through attribution of grades. According to Article 93 of the general regulations, the grades correspond, respectively, to the following numerical equivalents:       

2. The University of Brasilia does not use classification instruments to inform the position of the students in relation to other graduates of his class or any other student at UnB.

3. In addition to the grades, the following may appear in the academic transcript of records:

4. The curricular control is made through a credit system. Each credit corresponds to 15 class hours. One class hour correspond to 50 minutes of effective work.

5. The grades/codes of approval are SS, MS, MM, CC and AP.

6. The credits obtained by transfer of credit/study are present in the academic transcript of records as CC.

7. Academic performance index (IRA):

    The IRA is one of the indicators used for subject enrollment sorting. It is also used as an indicator of academic performance in the analysis for concession of scientific research scholarships, monitorship, etc. and corresponds to a numerical interval of 0 to 5, where 5 is the highest value. It is calculated by the expression:

DTb = number of withdrawn mandatory subjects

DTp = number of withdrawn optional subjects

DC = number of enrolled subjects (including withdrawn)

Pi = weight of grades (SS=5, MS=4, MM=3, MI=2, II=1, SR=0)

Pei = period in which a given subject was taken, following the restriction: minimum {6, period}

CRi = number of credits of a given subject
